BRUCE TRAIL DAY

This year, the Dufferin Hi-Land Bruce Trail Club will be holding Bruce Trail Day at the beautiful BTC owned Splitrock Property, located at 755437 2nd Line E in Mono between 25 and 30 Sideroads. Starting at 10 am and going until 3:00 pm, this free event includes: Guilded hikes, family activities (kids can assemble bird houses and scatter wildflowers), BBQ (hotdogs: $1)

The first 20 new members who sign up that day will receive free Bruce Trail guidebooks courtesy of OPG (value of $39.95)

ORANGEVILLE COMMUNITY TREE PLANTING

Location: Natural area located at the east entrance of Town, Northwest corner of Hwy 10 and McCanell Avenue.

A community that plants together, grows together! Join CVC and the Orangeville Sustainability Action Team (OSAT) for a fun morning of tree planting and caring for our natural areas. Together we will increase local tree coverage, and promote local engagement and environmental awareness. This is a great opportunity for students to earn community service hours. As a token of appreciation a light lunch will be provided to participants after the tree planting. Please dress for the weather. Wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes (sturdy running shoes or rubber boots). Wear pants to protect legs from scratches and insect bites. Bring a reusable water bottle. We will have extra water on site but we will not be providing cups or bottles.

KIN SANTA CLAUS PARADE

Location: Starting at Hansen Blvd /South on First St/Broadway/End at Rotary Park

Get ready Orangeville! Santa Claus will be coming to town this year on Saturday, November 17, 2018, and to welcome him, the Kin Club of Orangeville has decided to play some Musical Magic for him. ! Participants in the parade are encouraged to decorate and use anything in a musical theme this year! The parade will start just a little bit earlier as well this year, so those who prefer more of a daytime parade can position themselves near the start of the parade route, and those who prefer an evening parade can position themselves in the middle of the route or near the end of the route.

The parade will begin at 4:30 p.m., and start at Hansen Blvd. and First St, then travel south on First St., along Broadway and end at Rotary Park.
